This advanced level course is designed to strengthen your knowledge and understanding of media and communications.
Why take this course?
This course is designed to develop your knowledge, understanding and abilities when it comes to media and communications. You will learn about key practices and processes, and develop a broad range of specialist digital and communication skills, ensuring you are well prepared for the exciting variety of educational and professional progression opportunities available.
What you will experience
This course will introduce you to the media and communications industry, giving you a well-rounded insight into trends, common practice and recent developments. You will study a range of subjects including advertising, how to write for the media, PR practice and analysis and how to promote/pitch ideas. You will also get the chance to perfect interviewing and meeting skills - essential for your progression towards further study or employment.
Applicants should have two Highers (preferably including English) or successful completion of a Non-advanced College course. For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may allow entry.
Applicants should be aware that a laptop is required for this course.
