Why take this course?
This course is aimed at those who want to establish a career in the ever-changing world of business. The topics covered will give you a detailed insight into the different factors that influence modern-day businesses.
What you will experience
You will learn about the different internal and external factors which can impact the way in which a business performs. This is achieved through the study of economics, enterprise and marketing, as well as the study of organisational operations such as cash transactions, the use of IT and making business decisions.
Applicants should have a pass in Business, Administration and/or English at Intermediate 2, National 5 or Standard Grade Credit level.
Applicants should also have knowledge and skills relating to business and at the very least, should have Core Skills Communication at SCQF Level 5.

On successful completion of this course, you can progress to the following courses at North East Scotland College:
If you choose to move from this level of study to HNC or HND level, you may then want to then consider moving on to a university degree. Depending on the university, you could enter in to year 2 or 3 of a related course.
On successful completion of this level of study, employment opportunities are common at entry level in a wide range of business environments. Roles can include:
