Why take this course?

This course is for those with basic computer competency, e.g. those who can effectively use a mouse and keyboard, and open/close windows, files and documents. 

What you will experience

You will explore a range of essential functions, including:

  • Managing files and folders to organise your computer and data
  • Searching the internet effectively using an up to date web browser
  • Understanding search engines and their functions
  • Sending and receiving emails
  • Transferring information from the internet to a word processing package
  • Printing from various information sources

Please note that course content may be tailored by the tutor to meet the needs of individual groups of learners.
