Why take this course?
This is a classroom based academic programme at a level similar to second year university. It provides the 18 credits required to top-up an HNC Mechanical Engineering qualification so that it becomes an HND Mechanical Engineering qualification.
What you will experience
The course focuses on how to solve mechanical engineering problems using mathematical solutions, which are applied to mechanical engineering principles.
Please note this course requires attendance on 2 evenings per week for 28 weeks, and an additional third evening per week for 9 weeks. This applies to both the first and second year of the course.
Candidates should have successfully completed the HNC Engineering: Mechanical course.
Please note that the framework for mechanical engineering has changed in recent years. Students acquiring an HNC prior to 2006 should seek guidance prior to booking.
