New name for charity shop

Today we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the NESCol charity shop with a party and a renaming celebration.

Formerly known as the Charity Box, for the past decade the shop has been the base of our retail students, where they learn valuable retail skills through selling second hand goods. Each year the students nominate a charity to whom the proceeds are donated and in the last 10 years they have raised around £45,000 for worthy causes.

Students past and present and staff members were all in attendance to celebrate this achievement and witness the reveal of the shop's new name: RecyCol - as suggested by SAC Receptionist Alison Ross (well done!).

Thank you to everyone who has supported the shop and the students for the last 10 years, and long may it continue to thrive!
