Why take this course?

The Government recognises Social Care as a valuable growth area of employment to meet the diverse needs of the Scottish population.  This is a new addition to the Social Care diet and an exciting opportunity for individuals who have been out of education for a period and now wish to return to education to gain qualifications.  This course targets potential students wishing to pursue a career in Social Care.

Students will find this course gives both knowledge and skills required to move forward in the work of Social Care particularly those individuals who are looking for a change in career direction or indeed coming back into the workforce.  The course is dynamic in its delivery and hosts a range of interesting Social Care orientated subjects.  Course delivery is of a high standard, taught by a team of lecturing staff who are experienced in the area of Social Care.

This course offers an excellent opportunity for those who would like to pursue a career in Social Care. This course also allows students to progress onto an HNC in Social Services.   Successful completion of the HNC would meet the entry criteria for application for 2nd Year Social Work Degree at RGU.  You may be considering a change of career or have worked in a support worker role and now wish to gain qualifications.
