This course is designed for those with little or no electrical experience.
This course is designed to introduce you to the basic mathematic and electrical principles required in electrical engineering. This will ensure you are well-equipped to progress to the HNC Electrical Engineering course, and in a strong position to pursue a future career at management or supervisory level. It provides you with the opportunity to enhance your existing skills by combining theory and practice to achieve a real understanding of electrical engineering subjects.

This part of the course takes you from exploring Ohm’s Law up to the study of basic single and three phase principles, which underpin a lot of the knowledge required for the HNC.
This part of the course starts you at very basic level – from an understanding of your calculator up to being able to use complex numbers to add phasors.
