There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
This course is for anyone with no knowledge of woodwork but would like to master the basics for domestic purposes.
The course is for complete beginners who want to improve their practical skills using everyday tools found in the home – such as saws, tape measures, spirit levels, etc. You will learn about fixing projects, and will also be introduced to a variety of simple techniques to help improve the quality of any woodwork jobs you undertake at home. The aim is to make and take home at least one simple wooden project of choice.
Through tutor demonstration and hands-on practical experience, you will build confidence during this 10-week course and master the basics of good craftsmanship. The course will cover:

Learners will be asked to provide their own overalls or a change of clothing and steel-toed footwear. Materials costs are included in the course fee.
