Most of the courses within our 2021 Part-time guide are close to completion and we are now busy finalising the courses for 2021/2022.

The distance learning programme offers online courses to help support both personal and professional development. They are designed to fit in with your day to day life  – you study at a place and at a time that is right for you.

Distance learning courses are typically delivered through online learning although some campus attendance may be required for workshop or assessment purposes.

Many of the courses in the 20/21 Part-time guide will be offered in the year ahead so why browse and begin to get some ideas ahead of the publication of the new guide.

Learning options depend on the course you choose:
• Face to face at campuses and learning centres*
• A blend of online and classroom delivery*
• Classes are held during the day, evening, weekend or 24/7 virtual basis.

*Due to Covid-19  courses will be reviewed on an ongoing basis in line with Scottish Government guidance. 


There are a number of funding options available to support part time and distance learning courses. They are course dependent. Some funding e.g. ITA funding is available on a first come, first served basis – be sure you don’t miss out by applying for funding sooner rather than later. Find out more.
