Why take this course?

This course aims to provide students with practical welding skills and industry-standard knowledge.

Students will work towards two qualifications whilst gaining hands-on experience with tools, and an understanding of essential workplace practices.

Energy Transition Skills Hub

For students choosing the Aberdeen Altens Campus option, this course will be delivered at the new Energy Transition Skills Hub. The new facility will open in summer 2025 and is the first of its kind in Scotland. It is located adjacent to the College’s existing Aberdeen Altens Campus and within the Skills Campus of the Energy Transition Zone. The Hub will feature industry-standard workshops and flexible teaching spaces, shaped by the needs of employers, as well as cutting-edge equipment reflecting to the latest advancements in the energy sector. The new facility has been designed to showcase future technologies related to offshore wind, electric vehicles, hydrogen, carbon capture and renewables.
