NESCol student Rhudiadh Wood recently returned from the Special Olympics GB National Alpine Skiing competition in Switzerland with no less than three medals.
The competition, which is held every four years, was held in the beautiful Crans Montana resort for the first time at the start of February. Ninety athletes from ten clubs in England, Scotland and Wales took part in Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super G competitions over the course of a week.
Rhudiadh said, “I’ve only been skiing competitively for four years so I’m really happy to have won two gold medals and one bronze.” He is now getting ready for more competitions in Manchester and Birmingham.
