The course will develop your understanding and enable you to enhance your skills in consultation, styling, dressing, cutting, colouring and lightening, as well as in the promotion/selling of product and services, and in health and safety. There is also a focus on specialist areas such as bridal hairstyling, colour correction and on creative hairdressing design skills.
You will learn in a realistic work environment, which provides preparation for work placement and excellent salon experience for progression to employment.

You are required to purchase the designated kit, text book/e-book and uniform.
You will be required to wear the designated uniform in all practical classes, wear minimal jewellery and closed in shoes. Full details will be provided at an information session.
VRQ Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing for Cutting and Styling Technicians (Broadly comparable to SCQF Level 6).
If you are studying a full-time advanced course (HNC, HND or above), you may be entitled to funding.
