About the Library+

During session 20-21 the library is open for bookable study space and click and collect only. Study spaces and PCs can be booked using the form on MyNescol.


Opening hours
The Library+ is located on the Ground Floor of the Aberdeen City Campus Tower Block, next to the Gallowgate entrance.

Mon to Thurs: 9:00am – 12noon • 1:30pm – 4:30pm • 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Friday: 9:00am – 12noon • 1:30pm-4:45pm
Saturday: 9.00am – 11:30am
Sunday: Closed

Digital Skills Space

About the Digital Skills Space

The College’s Digital Skills Space at Aberdeen City Campus is a modern and accessible facility where students can study and access key resources/support. It is located within the Library+. The space caters for BYOD groups and those who require access to desktop PCs.

These spaces are used to deliver core IT teaching, digital skills support workshops, whilst providing students with access to flexi-use PCs.


Opening hours

During session 20-21, the Digital Skills Space is closed due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

The Digital Skills Development team can provide remote support to students with:

Accessing College systems:

  • Logging on
  • Connecting to college wifi
  • Onedrive
  • Office 365
  • Blackboard & Turnitin
  • Printing

Using Microsoft Office programs:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • Powerpoint
  • Access
  • Outlook

And any other general issues regarding the use of Information Technology.

IT HelpZone

About the IT HelpZone

If you are having technical problems with your personal device then you should contact the IT HelpZone in the Aberdeen City Campus. The HelpZone is manned by helpful and informative students and staff, who should be able to help you with whatever technical difficulty you are facing.

If you are based at the Altens Campus then you will find an IT HelpZone self-help station within the Library+ area. This is an iPad full of advice and guidance on a wide range of common technical issues. You will also find a telephone that will connect you directly the IT HelpZone reception at the Aberdeen City Campus if required.
