“I feel the course has prepared me well for my new role and I’m excited to put my new skills into practice and have the opportunity to do something I love every day! “
“To advance my career I had the choice of a PDA or to go down the degree route and I knew from the outset that my learning style was better suited to the PDA option.”
“Within a month of finishing I was away on my first trip onboard the Grampian Cavalier.”
“I think College is an excellent next step as although you have moved on from school and enjoy learning in an adult environment, the class sizes are still small so you really get to know your fellow students. I just felt so much better prepared for Uni having been at College. I don’t know if I would have stuck it out if I’d gone there straight from school to be honest as it is quite a big jump. My NESCol experience undoubtedly gave me the confidence to manage the demands of the degree.”
“I am more of a hands on sort of guy so the apprenticeship route worked for me.”
“I’ve gained invaluable on-the-job experience and it’s helped me boost my confidence in my day to day job”
“I like the fact that with an apprenticeship you are learning from those around you. The best thing for me is working with these experienced joiners and picking up hints and tips. In my field everyone has their own way of doing things – but they get the same result.”
“An apprenticeship gave me the chance to prove to myself that I can do better.”
“I started out as the lunch lady at one nursery and now I am the Manager of Peek-a-Boo nursery. I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship – I would do it again.”
“I would definitely recommend the apprenticeship to others as it’s helped me gain a lot of knowledge across the warehouse and company as a whole.”
