Energy Transition Scholarships – Course Information Evening

Join us at the Engine Room in Aberdeen Altens Campus (F Block) on 9 June to find out aboout our 2 new Energy Transition Scholarship courses. Drop in at any time between 6PM and 7.30PM.

The ECITB Energy Transfer Technician Scholarship will provide technical training for young engineers starting their careers in the energy sector, and has now received a £100,000 grant from the city’s Energy Transition Zone (ETZ) to support this “valuable initiative”.

Created by Government skills body the ECITB to address workforce shortages in key engineering roles, scholars get a £100-week grant to develop their engineering knowledge and skills as well as an understanding of the new technologies essential to the successful delivery of net zero, including digital skills.

There are two pathways students can opt for:

• Energy Transfer
• Wind Turbine Technician

This information event will give interested applicants more information about the courses with representatives from NESCol (including Student Support), ETZ and ECITB. Tours will also be available to see the facilities in which the courses will be taught.

 

• Tables will be set-up to provide the opportunity for visitors to discuss the scholarships with NESCol, ETZ and ECITB representatives (please confirm if you will be sending reps and who will be attending). As ever, pop-ups welcome!
