Festive break extended as a thank you to students and staff

November 13, 2020

An additional two days of festive holidays have been awarded as a thank you to NESCol students and staff at the end of a challenging year.

Monday 21 December and Tuesday 22 December 2020 will now be days off. The holidays had been due to begin on 23 December.

College facilities will be closed, to ensure a break for all staff and students, and blended learning will resume as planned on Wednesday 6 January 2021.

Principal Neil Cowie said: “We are incredibly proud of the way in which students and staff have adapted to the unprecedented circumstances this year. Students have demonstrated great commitment as we moved first to remote learning in March and then embraced blended learning at the start of the new session in September. Staff have been agile and innovative, ensuring we have been able to maintain provision to all those we serve.

“In recognition of those efforts, and the way in which our College community has gone above and beyond in so many ways, we are pleased to confirm that the festive break will be extended this year. I hope the extra two days will allow students and staff to rest and recharge as we prepare to continue the good work in 2021.”

Support services will continue to be provided during the holiday period through access to www.togetherall.com .
