Scotland’s colleges collaborate on new national #ChooseCollege campaign

March 8, 2021

NESCol is supporting a new national campaign to highlight the importance of Scotland’s colleges and encourage potential students to Choose College.

Scotland’s 26 colleges have come together with one voice to support the #ChooseCollege campaign and share positive stories of how vital colleges are to the educational, economic and community health of the country. Colleges will also show how they support industry to upskill and retrain their workers.

Organised by the CDN Marketing and Communications Network, the six-week campaign follows on from the success of #LoveScotlandsColleges in November 2020.

Choose College, the collaborative six-week social media campaign launches today and will run until 16 April. Each week will focus on a different key theme. The key themes are:

Week commencing 8 March – Choose to Upskill

Week commencing 15 March – Choose to Retrain

Week commencing 22 March – Choose to do Something Different

Week commencing 29 March – Choose a Degree

Week commencing 5 April – Choose a Career

Week commencing 12 April – Choose an Apprenticeship

The campaign is supported by promotional videos, images, key facts and case studies. College students and staff are being encouraged to share their stories, using #ChooseCollege.

NESCol Principal Neil Cowie said: “The past 12-months have been an incredibly challenging and uncertain time for the communities we serve. NESCol has worked hard to be a supportive and positive influence and we are determined to be at the heart of the region’s recovery. Learning and training will be more important than ever before and Choose College underlines the role of the sector and the incredibly diverse opportunities that are open to all.”
