Alex Bowie (22) not only collected his HNC in Electrical Engineering at the 2019 NESCol Fraserburgh Graduation Ceremony but a Score sponsored award for Best Student on his course.

Alex, from Portsoy near Banff, first came to NESCol’s Fraserburgh campus after leaving school to study HND Mechanical Engineering. Alex said, “I had a great experience at the College and thought the lecturers and facilities were excellent so when I had the opportunity to return through my employer it was a no brainer.”

Alex works for Scottish Water and is currently in his fourth and final year of an apprenticeship as an Electrical & Mechanical Engineer. He really enjoys the multi-discipline role and is looking forward to continuing his progression in the organisation.

Alex was nominated for the Score award by his lecturers at the Fraserburgh campus who said, “Alex was a highly motivated student with an excellent attitude. His results were very good and he scored particularly highly in his electrical graded unit.
