Heidi Ward came to NESCol via block release through her employer, Aberdeen City Council, as part of her Painting & Decorating apprenticeship.
Heidi said, “Being the only girl in the class was awkward at the start of my Intro course, but as I progressed I felt more confident in myself and my surroundings. To any other girls who are thinking of a career in construction: stick with it! NESCol will give you skills for a lifelong career as well as the opportunity to explore creatively.”
