Checklist
These are the key things that need to be done ahead of graduation, it’s important that they are booked in advance.
Book your place
Students that are eligible to attend graduation will have received an invitation via email.
Book your place
To attend graduation you must register your place through our official graduation partner Ede & Ravenscroft. Registration will close on 22 August 2025.
On the Ede & Ravenscroft site, you will be able to:
- sign up and register your attendance
- book your two complimentary tickets
- hire your academic gown (this is a requirement to take part in graduation)
- order any official photography
How to book
Step 1
- Visit the Ede & Ravenscroft Graduation Hub.
Step 2
- Find the section called “Institution Details”.
- Enter North East Scotland College in the box and then select it from the dropdown menu. Then the Continue option.
Step 3
- Log in in using your student ID, your surname and personal email address. Please do not use your College email address – this becomes invalid after the academic year and you will not be able to access your booking.
Step 4
- Follow the instructions to reserve your place and up to two guest tickets, free of charge.
- To take part in the ceremony, you’ll need to hire an academic gown. Gown hire costs £37 and can be arranged when you book your place or by returning to your booking at a later date.
- You also have the option to order official photos.
- If your course was sponsored by Score Group then you will have been sent a unique code as part or your invitation. Enter this code in the discount box.
Make a change to your booking
To change or update your registration details you can edit your booking online. Alternatively, contact Ede & Ravenscroft on 01223 734759 or complete their contact form.
Academic gowns
Hire your academic gown
Hire your academic gown at the same time as registering your place at the ceremony on the Ede & Ravenscroft website — this is a requirement to take part in graduation. The cost is £37.
Please note that academic caps are only worn at degree level and are not required at NESCol graduation ceremonies.
On the day
Ede & Ravenscroft will provide you with your robe at your graduation venue on the day of the ceremony.
Dress code
In keeping with academic dress, you are requested to wear a white/light coloured top/shirt/tie and dark skirt/dress/trousers or national dress.
Guest tickets
You can bring up to two guests with you free of charge. Book their tickets through Ede & Ravenscroft at the same time as booking your place.
Additional guest tickets
Additional guest tickets may be available at a charge of £5 each. We will let you know if additional tickets are available for purchase by 22 August 2025. Check your personal email address and this web page.
Infants and children
Children under the age of two can sit on a guest’s knee. Children over that age will require a ticket due to fire regulations.
Ticket delivery
Your tickets, both your free guest tickets and any additional purchased tickets, will be sent to you by email a few days ahead of the ceremony.
Photography
Official graduation photographs can be ordered through Ede & Ravenscroft. They can be taken prior to and after the ceremony at your allocated venue.
Order photographs
Order your photographs at the same time as registering your place at the ceremony and ordering your gown. Alternatively, you can book photography at a later date by logging in to your booking on the Ede & Ravenscroft website.
On-stage photography
All graduates are photographed as they receive their award on stage. You will also have the opportunity to purchase your own on-stage award photograph for £10 on the day. This is taken by Ede & Ravenscroft during the ceremony.
