School Links Courses at NESCol

North East Scotland College offers a wide range of courses at a variety of levels to pupils in S4 to S6 across Aberdeen City and Shire. These courses give you the opportunity to experience life as a College student whilst staying on at school, and can help you make more informed decisions regarding your future pathways into education or employment. Many courses are delivered on one of our College campuses, but some will be delivered within a local school.

Why Choose a School Links Course?

The College’s School Links Programme gives you the opportunity to achieve national qualifications that are valued by employers whilst continuing to study school based courses. Through participation in any of the courses offered through this programme you will develop essential skills for employment and be better prepared for the career pathway of your choice. Courses are completed within the Academic Year whilst you are still at school, and are available across a wide range of interesting and exciting subject areas.

They offer an opportunity to develop transferable skills for employment and further study, learning in an environment different to school.  Even if you decide not to follow the career path related to the School Links course you chose, you will have a qualification and transferable skills valued by employers. If you do decide to follow that career path, you will be a step ahead with industry relevant knowledge and you’ll be ready to progress to further studies having become familiar with College life and study styles.
