NESCol campuses to reopen after snow closures
January 9, 2026
All NESCol campuses will reopen on Monday (12 January) for those who can travel safely.
The College will be operating as normal and timetables should be followed as scheduled, with NESCol transport also resuming.
The safety and wellbeing of staff, students and visitors remains the priority and additional snow clearing and gritting is being carried out across all sites.
The College understands individual circumstances will vary across the 2,500 square mile catchment area served by NESCol and is encouraging students and staff to take into account localised weather, road and pavement conditions.
If a student believes their journey to or from College may be difficult or unsafe due to weather or travel disruption, they should decide whether it is safe to travel to campus. Weather related absences should be reported via Academic Tutors and the online form to prevent any impact on bursary payments.
Pupils attending NESCol for school programmes should follow the guidance provided by their school.
Staff should follow the College’s severe weather conditions procedure, in liaison with their line manager.
Thank you to everyone in the College community for their understanding and adaptability during the past week of online learning and remote working.
