This Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) course will introduce you to the essential skills needed to start a career in the automotive maintenance sector.

What you will experience

Teaching will take the form of theory, as well as a range of practical activities. You’ll learn in vehicle maintenance workshops and classrooms at Aberdeen Altens Campus or Fraserburgh Campus.

You will:

  • Be introduced to the tools and equipment used in the motor vehicle industry
  • Develop skills in the repair and maintenance of vehicles
  • Learn about the principles of engine components and operation for steering, breaking and suspension systems
