This course is an exciting blend of practical subjects, which are studied alongside related theory, giving you the opportunity to learn new skills, enhance existing skills and gain an in-depth understanding of sports coaching and development subjects. You will visit and participate in a variety of sporting events and festivals and be given the chance to gain additional sports and fitness qualifications.
This course will provide you with an industry-recognised qualification, and the knowledge and skillset necessary to work as a professional within the sports industry in a variety of contexts. Embedded within the course are varied National Governing Body Awards in a variety of sporting delivery.
You’ll gain the industry-recognised PDA qualification certified by SportScotland/ CIMSPA (Level 2 and 3 Coaching Framework).

HND in Sports Coaching and Development (SCQF Level 8), PDA in Sport Coaching.
Applicants whose first language is not English should have a minimum B2 English Language Level (National 5). An entry test can be arranged if you do not have a B2 qualification.
If you are studying a full-time advanced course (HNC, HND or above), you may be entitled to funding.
