What you will experience

Course content:

• Section 1: The Prevent duty and its importance in society – Offers an introduction to the principles of prevent training and CONTEST as well as the aims of prevent duty and why it is necessary. Learn about the threat of terrorism, British values and The Counterterrorism and Security Act 2015.
• Section 2: Defining and exploring the warning signs of radicalisation and extremism – Learn about radicalisation, terrorism and extremism as well as defining a terrorist attack and the factors which make individuals susceptible to radicalisation. As well as the warning signs that an individual may be becoming radicalised.
• Section 3: Keeping individuals safe from extremism and radicalisation – Explore the internal and extrnal factors as well as the legal requirement for organisations to safeguard vulnerable individuals who may be at risk of radicalisation as well as tools to help stop people from being radicalised. Find out what actions should be taken if there are concerns that an individual or group is at risk from radicalisation.
