NESCol offers two Modern Apprenticeships (MA) in Logistics & Supply Chain:

Both MAs are fully based in the workplace, and combine paid employment with flexible learning through NESCol.

Apprentices gain industry-recognised qualifications while building practical workplace skills.

Logistics Operations

The Logistics Operations Modern Apprenticeship is suitable for people working in roles that help keep the supply chain maintained and running smoothly.

Apprentices work across a wide range of sectors, with most roles being primarily office-based.

The Logistics Operations MA framework outlines what apprentices need to learn and achieve to complete their apprenticeship.

It includes:

  • One Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) at Level 3
  • Core Skills

A typical Logistics Operations MA lasts up to two years.

This MA is fully work-based.

The Sector Skills Council for the Logistics Operations MA is the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

Warehousing, Storage and Distribution

The Warehousing, Storage and Distribution Modern Apprenticeship is suitable for people working in stores, distribution hubs, transport depots and warehouses.

Typical roles are likely to be in stock control and supply chain operations in any organisation that moves, handles or stores goods or materials.

The Warehousing, Storage and Distribution MA framework outlines what apprentices need to learn and achieve to complete their apprenticeship.

It includes:

  • One Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) at Level 2
  • Core Skills
