Double Success for Stacie at Aberdeen Graduation Ceremony
Stacie Street celebrated a remarkable double achievement at the 2025 Aberdeen Graduation Ceremony. As well as receiving her Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Stacie was named the 2025 recipient of the MHA Excellence in Accounting Award.
Award winner
The award, sponsored by leading accountancy firm MHA, is presented annually to a student who demonstrates outstanding performance and commitment to the subject. Stacie was selected by the College’s Business Professions lecturing team in recognition of her academic excellence and dedication throughout her studies.
A former Northfield Academy pupil, Stacie joined NESCol after spending a year working in retail. Initially enrolling on the Business, Administration & Accounting course at City Campus, she quickly discovered a passion for accountancy and chose to specialise in the field.
NESCol experience
Reflecting on her College experience, Stacie said:
“I found College to be a much better environment for learning. There’s so much support available and the lecturers are excellent—they really take the time to explain things and help if you’re struggling.”
She added, “I also enjoyed meeting new people and have made two really good friends during my time here. We’re looking forward to celebrating together at the ceremony.”
Stacie is now seeking employment in the accountancy sector, with ambitions to secure a role in financial accounting.
“I don’t think I’ve finished learning just yet, but for now I’m delighted to have achieved my HND. I’d love to continue studying part-time while working.”
