Entry Requirements
- At least two Highers at Grade C or above, preferably in English and one other subject, and Maths at least at National 5 level or Applications of Maths
- For those returning to education, life skills and experience may allow entry.
This course is perfect for those looking to enter the accounting profession. The course will help you to build a well-rounded, valuable skill set that meets the standards required by employers. The course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the concepts and processes used in financial and management accounting as well as other essential and academic skills required in the professional workplace.

A Foundation Apprenticeship in any subject area will be considered equivalent as one unrelated Higher for entry to this course. A Foundation Apprenticeship in Accountancy will be considered as equivalent of two Highers for entry to this course – no further Higher qualifications will be required. A Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills will be considered equivalent to a subject related Higher. The additional Higher required for entry does not require to be subject related.
HND Accounting

If you are studying a full-time advanced course (HNC, HND or above), you may be entitled to funding.

This course is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme. This means that you are required to have access to your own laptop computer, netbook or similar device in class each day that you are in college.
If you do not already own a suitable device you can apply for a student loan from SAAS, if eligible, to fund the cost of purchasing a device.
