SVQs are based on national occupational standards which the candidate must meet to be competent in a particular task. The achievement of an SVQ encourages employees to value their contribution to the workplace, and it will develop their skills and potential within the performing engineering operations field.
This course is primarily aimed at those in employment, or those taking part in a Modern Apprenticeship programme.
You will explore a range of essential practices and processes for performing effective, high-quality welding operations. You will cover the fundamentals skills and knowledge common to fabrication and welding practices, including health and safety requirements and communicating engineering information.
The course also offers an extensive choice and flexibility for learners to demonstrate competence in one or more of a broad variety of practical activities.
