Why take this course?
This online testing session is for anyone whose first language is not English, who is interested in part-time ESOL courses at NESCol. Testing is required for all levels from Elementary and above. Testing is not required for complete beginners.
What you will experience
Once you have booked and paid the fees for the testing session, you will be asked to complete a NESCol online enrolment form. Once enrolled you will be issued with information and instructions on how to access the online test. The test is delivered via the Oxford Online Testing system.
Upon completion of the test, your level will be checked by an ESOL practitioner and a recommendation made in terms of the level you should study.
If any additional testing is required to confirm your level e.g. if you are in between two levels, you will be contacted with further instruction.

If you are eligible for Remission of Fees then you must complete this booking form and supply the relevant fee waiver documents to one of our Campuses or Centres. Some courses are not eligible for fee waiver applications. For further information please contact our Student Advice Centre.

Please note that courses are offered subject to (a) there being sufficient numbers of enrolments and (b) the availability of resources. The College reserves its right (i) not to run courses where the number of students is considered insufficient or where resources are unavailable and (ii) in certain circumstances, to refuse admission to an individual applicant.
