Why take this course?
This one of the basic safety training courses that are required by all commercial fishermen.
Refresher safety training is available for experienced fishermen.
What you will experience
- Fire and the dangers it presents at sea
- Basic firefighting techniques
- Instruction on use of various firefighting equipment
- Practical instruction on use of firefighting appliances
Application information
Candidates are assessed throughout the course and sit a multiple choice paper in the final session.
