Why take this course?
This course highlights best practices for identifying common mental health issues and making appropriate adjustments.
It is designed for anyone responsible for staff who does not wish to become qualified as a Mental Health First Aider.
What you will experience
This half-day course can be delivered face-to-face at a NESCol campus, online using Microsoft Teams or at a local business premises for up to twelve attendees.
You will learn about:
- Common mental health problems
- Reducing stigma and bias
- Applying emotional intelligence
- Supporting individuals and teams
- Signposting appropriately
- Making reasonable adjustments
- Self-care and recovery
- The legal context
