This course is aimed at new entrants in the role of Human Resource or Learning and Development. Develop skills and knowledge to become an effective practitioner.
This qualification will develop a learners’ knowledge and skills to build their expertise. Learners will build their confidence and knowledge aimed at being able to contribute to immediate colleagues, customers and the organisation; supporting change and driving impact, to create immediate and short-term value.
This can then be applied to the world of work as well as being used as a route to start your journey to CIPD membership at the appropriate level.
The course is a mix is self-development and structured learning. Throughout the course, learners will be supported in their studies with online learning sessions and in-person workshops.
To achieve this qualification, a learner must have satisfied all the assessment criteria for each core unit:
The online sessions have been planned for a Wednesday evening between 6pm and 9pm.
The occasional workshops will be on Fridays.

Prospective learners whose first language is not English must demonstrate a high standard of both spoken and written English to register onto a CIPD qualification. Contact cipd@nescol.ac.uk for more information.
Prior to commencing on the course, students will undergo a 15 minute tutor discussion to determine suitability for the course.
The qualification will require regular study with the CIPD indicating 240 hours over the course duration.
Your course may be free if you are not a full time student with NESCol and you are : in receipt of benefits; or care-experienced; or your household taxable income falls below defined levels.
This course is eligible for ITA funding which offers up to £200 towards the cost of training. Conditions apply.
