Why take this course?
Learning a new language is not only useful in travel, but opens up a new world of literature and human understanding. This course is designed for those with no previous knowledge of German, but an interest in learning the language. At the end of the course, learners should be able to understand simple spoken information and understand very simple text.
What you will experience
You will practice your pronunciation and build a good, basic understanding of German. You will be introduced to the basics of the language in a safe, fun and structured learning environment.
By the end of the course you should be able to:
- Convey and request information orally in German
- Understand simple text
- Understand spoken information
The language will be explored in simple, familiar contexts such as:
- Your interests
- Family & friends
- Leisure and social activity
- Telling the time, days and dates
- Weather, travel, directions
- Shopping, prices, numbers
- Eating out, food and drink
