There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
This course equips delegates with the essential knowledge and understanding to reduce stigma and fear surrounding mental health issues. The training will foster confidence in approaching and supporting individuals in distress.
Mental Health First Aid provides an initial response to those experiencing distress. All participants will be made aware that this support is only intended until professional help is available.
Please note: Learners will gain general information about mental health issues during this course but it does not train them to become mental health professionals.
This two-day course can be delivered face-to-face at a NESCol campus or at a local business premises for between eight to twelve attendees.
