The primary aim of this course is to build your confidence when it comes to computers and IT – so if you have no computing experience at all, then this course is for you!
This course will provide a good all round introduction to computers and computing. Starting with switching on, moving onto how to navigate windows and ending on saving storing and printing data.
This course will cover basic but essential computer functions, so that you can effectively operate a computer for personal, practical use. You will also undertake a National Unit in Using Computer Applications (F7H8 08).
This course is designed to introduce learners to the basics of computing, file management, keyboarding skills and simple word processing.

Your course may be free if you are not a full time student with NESCol and you are : in receipt of benefits; or care-experienced; or your household taxable income falls below defined levels.
This course is eligible for ITA funding which offers up to £200 towards the cost of training. Conditions apply.
