A Foundation Apprenticeship in Accountancy is a great way to get hands–on experience in this fast paced, constantly changing industry. You will have the unique chance to develop skills and knowledge across a range of accountancy topics in a classroom, alongside a valuable work placement with an employer. This one year programme incorporates classroom based study with work–based learning to prepare you for entry to the workplace or full–time Further or Higher Education.

This course will provide you with certificated evidence of your knowledge and the skills you have developed to prepare you for future work in a business setting. You will be well–equipped for progression to a Modern Apprenticeship or starting an HND course in Accounting at College, or progressing to university level studies.

What you will experience

You will study a National Progression Award (NPA) in Accountancy at SCQF Level 6 and 3 units of the SVQ AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting at SCQF Level 6.  Completion of these 3 units will enable you to be awarded the AAT Level 3/SCQF Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping.
