This unit will allow you to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of how solar power technologies work from an engineering systems perspective. It will also allow you to develop knowledge and understanding of the energy and environmental issues facing this country and others as well as giving you the knowledge and skills required to understand how renewable energy systems generate power as electricity or other energies/fuels.
This 1 credit unit covers both solar thermal and solar PV technologies from an engineering perspective. With an emphasis on the design of solar systems for practical applications.

This course requires some attendance at College, often for assessment purposes only. Please enquire about expectations for your specific course when booking.
Attendance is usually at the Aberdeen City Campus or Fraserburgh Campus.
