This unit gives a broad overview of the many energy and environmental issues that face the world today. These issues are leading some to believe that the use of renewable energy sources represents one way of meeting at least part of the world’s energy demands while also helping to reduce the impact on the environment.
This 2 credit unit describes the basic technology associated with renewable energy devices. You will gain familiarity with the physics and engineering of the equipment used for extracting the available energy, and understand how energy transfer processes impact on efficiency and cost.

This course requires some attendance at College, often for assessment purposes only. Please enquire about expectations for your specific course when booking.
Attendance is usually at the Aberdeen City Campus or Fraserburgh Campus.
